IPTV app not loading channels, or the guide is empty

When a player opens and the channel list stays blank, or the programme guide never fills in, the app is usually waiting on a login, a network path, or guide data from your provider. Work through the checks below before you reinstall anything.

This is a practical fix guide. It does not rank players, and it does not publish channel lists. Updated 5 October 2026.

What an empty screen usually means

An IPTV app is a player. Your provider account supplies the channel list and the programme guide (often called the EPG). The app displays them. A blank screen after a normal install is almost always an account, login, or refresh problem.

Match the player to the television you actually own. Install steps live on the device guides linked below. Use only the login method your provider documented for that app.

How to fix an IPTV app that is not loading channels

Use this order when the list is empty, sign-in fails, or an activation code is rejected.

  1. 1

    Confirm the account is active

Ask your IPTV provider whether the subscription is active before you change apps. An inactive line opens the player and then shows an empty list.

  2. 2

    Sign in again

Re-enter the username and password, or the activation code, exactly as the provider sent them. Remove spaces before and after the code. Letter case matters on many panels.

  3. 3

    Free a connection

If the plan allows only one or two screens at a time, close the player on other TVs and phones. Then open it once on the screen you want to watch.

  4. 4

    Use the home network

Connect the TV device to the same home Wi-Fi or Ethernet that a working phone uses. For this test, leave guest Wi-Fi and any VPN turned off.

  5. 5

    Refresh the channel list

Inside the player, run the reload or refresh action for live TV and wait until it finishes. A list that is still loading looks the same as a list that failed.

  6. 6

    Play more than one title

Open two live channels and one on-demand title. If only one channel fails, that stream is down and the app itself is fine.

  7. 7

Restart the app, then the device

Force-close the player, open it, and sign in again. If the list is still empty, restart the stick, TV, or phone and repeat the refresh.

  8. 8

    Keep the on-screen message

If login or activation still fails, write down the exact message. That line tells your provider whether the code is wrong, expired, or already in use.

How to fix a missing programme guide

Use this when live TV plays and the EPG is blank, stuck, or showing the wrong hours.

  1. 1

    Set the clock automatically

Turn on automatic date and time, and choose the time zone where you watch. A wrong clock shifts the programme guide or leaves it looking empty.

  2. 2

    Open the guide view

Go to the live TV or guide section of the player. Settings and account screens often hide the programme grid even when it has loaded.

  3. 3

    Refresh the guide and wait

Run the in-app guide refresh and leave the player in the foreground until it completes. Large guides take a minute on a slow connection.

  4. 4

    Separate playback from guide data

If channels play and the guide stays blank, the provider did not send guide data with that line. The player can only display the guide it receives.

  5. 5

Read the guide on the right screen

On a cast-only Chromecast, the programme guide stays in the phone app. The dongle shows the video you send. On Google TV hardware, the guide is inside the TV app.

Match the check to the symptom

Empty list after login

Refresh live TV, confirm the account is active, and close other devices that share the line.

Activation or login error

Re-enter the code without extra spaces. If it still fails, the provider has to reset or renew that login.

Channels play, guide is blank

Fix the clock and time zone, refresh the guide, then ask whether guide data is included on the line.

Guide times are hours off

Set automatic date and time. A manual clock is the usual cause of a shifted programme grid.

Only one channel fails

Try a second live channel and one on-demand title. A single failure is that stream, not a broken app.

No guide on the TV while casting

A cast-only dongle shows the picture. Open the guide in the phone app that is sending the video.

Use the player that belongs on that screen

Fire Stick, Android TV, Google TV, and Android phones: the featured player is 7 MOTION TV. TiViMate is a common alternative on Fire Stick and Android TV. Install from the official store when the app is listed there. The players guide explains the shortlist without a ranking.

Samsung and LG sets: start with Smart IPTV from the TV store, then activate with the device ID the app shows and the method your provider documents. The Smart TV guide covers that path. If the TV store does not list the app, keep the TV as the display and follow the Fire Stick or Android TV guide, where 7 MOTION TV is the featured player.

Apple TV: install from the App Store. GSE is a common listing when it is available in your country. If a tvOS app is missing, AirPlay from an iPhone or iPad app your provider supports. 7 MOTION TV is not the Apple TV path.

Chromecast: a cast-only dongle does not install TV apps. Play the channel in the phone app, then cast it. The guide stays on the phone. Chromecast with Google TV and the Google TV Streamer can install apps. On that hardware, 7 MOTION TV is the featured player, the same as on Android TV.

Quick answers

Why is my IPTV app not loading channels?

The player shows the channel list your provider account sends. An empty list usually means the login failed, the line is offline, another device is using the only connection, or the refresh has not finished.

Why is the programme guide empty when channels play?

Video and the programme guide are separate. Playback can work while guide data is missing or the device clock is wrong. Set the time automatically, refresh the guide, and ask the provider whether that line includes guide data.

Will reinstalling the app bring the channels back?

Check the login, the network, and a refresh first. If the account is inactive, a fresh install stays empty. When you do reinstall, use the official store listing for that TV, stick, or phone.

Which player should I open on my TV?

On Fire Stick, Android TV, Google TV, and Android phones, the featured player is 7 MOTION TV. TiViMate is a common alternative on Fire Stick and Android TV. On Samsung and LG, start with Smart IPTV. On Apple TV, use an App Store player such as GSE, or AirPlay. A cast-only Chromecast uses the phone app. Chromecast with Google TV can install 7 MOTION TV.

Can you send a channel list or a login link?

No. Channels come from your provider. This site does not publish channel lists or playlist addresses. WhatsApp is for setup help on the player you already use.

The app says activation failed. What should I check?

Re-type the code, remove spaces, and confirm with your provider that the code is still valid. On Smart IPTV, use the device ID shown inside the app and the activation method your provider documents. The Smart TV guide covers that path.

Direct answers

What is an IPTV app?

An IPTV app is the programme on your TV stick, smart TV, or phone that logs into your IPTV service, shows a guide, and plays live or on demand video. The app is not the channels themselves. Your provider supplies the service you sign into. This site explains how to choose and install players. It does not publish playlists.

Do you rank a number one IPTV app?

No. This site does not publish a number one rank, star scores, or AggregateRating markup. The editorial shortlist, without ranks, is 7 MOTION TV, Zuno TV as a separate app, TiViMate, IPTV Smarters Pro, Smart IPTV, and GSE Smart IPTV. Always confirm which players your own IPTV provider supports before you install.

Which player do you feature?

7 MOTION TV is the featured recommendation for Fire Stick, Android TV, Google TV, and Android phones or tablets only. The exact Google Play title is Lecteur IPTV – 7 MOTION. It is not featured for Apple TV or as the Samsung and LG store pick. Setup still depends on your provider.

What about Samsung or LG TVs?

On Samsung and LG sets, start with Smart IPTV when it is in the TV store and your provider supports it. 7 MOTION TV is not the built in smart TV lead on this site. If the store listing is missing or the TV feels slow, add a Fire Stick or Android stick instead of modifying the TV.

What about Apple TV?

Apple TV uses the App Store, not Android packages. This site does not feature 7 MOTION TV on tvOS. Start with an App Store player your provider lists, often GSE Smart IPTV, and check availability in your country. AirPlay from iPhone or iPad is the fallback when a native tvOS app is missing.

Can I use Chromecast for IPTV?

Yes, in two ways. Classic Chromecast dongles are cast from a phone on the same Wi Fi. Chromecast with Google TV and Google TV Streamer can install apps, including featured 7 MOTION TV when your provider supports it. This site does not publish a fake number one Chromecast app.

Does this site publish prices, channel counts, or bitrates?

No. This site does not publish IPTV subscription prices, channel counts, bitrates, or a minimum bandwidth. A free trial length is also not stated here, because trial terms depend on your provider. We do not invent those figures. For player setup help, the contact path is WhatsApp.

What is activation code 3717996?

Provider activation code 3717996, sometimes labeled Suno by resellers, is an IPTV or downloader setup path for Lecteur IPTV – 7 MOTION. It is not the Play app Suno AI Music. Enter it only in the IPTV player flow your seller documented. The dedicated honesty page explains why this code is not a music app unlock.

What is Zuno?

Zuno is an IPTV application. We do not sell channels. This site sells only the app: zero channels, zero M3U playlists, and zero subscriptions are offered on the Zuno page. The installable file is the official zuno-tv.apk from the GitHub release. There is no invented AggregateRating and no public playlist.

Is sideloading an IPTV app safe?

Only when you install a package your provider authorises, and only when unknown sources is limited to a trusted installer such as Downloader on Fire Stick. Prefer the Amazon Appstore, Google Play, the TV brand store, or the Apple App Store when the app is listed. This site does not promote cracked or pirated apps.
