IPTV Buffering Fix: Stop Freezes on Fire Stick, Android TV, and More
Buffering and freezes usually come from the path between your screen and the stream: Wi-Fi, a busy household network, a connection limit, or a player pointed at a weak feed. The app skin is rarely the whole story.

How to fix IPTV buffering and freezes
Check the channel, restart the path, strengthen Wi-Fi or Ethernet, lower quality, and confirm the plan’s connection limit before you change apps.

See whether one title is the problem
Play a second live channel and one on-demand title. If only one title stalls, the stream itself is the weak point. Swapping apps will not repair that feed.

Restart the player, the device, and the router
Close the IPTV app, reboot the TV device, then power-cycle the router. Wait until Wi-Fi is back before you open the player again.

Shorten the path to the router
Move the device closer, prefer 5 GHz over a crowded 2.4 GHz band, or use Ethernet where the hardware allows it (a USB adapter on many Fire Sticks, a wired port on the TV or box).

Lower quality and pause extra traffic
Set the player to Auto or a lower bitrate. Pause VPN apps. Stop other 4K streams and large downloads on the same network, then test one channel again.

Check how many screens the plan allows
If another TV or phone is already playing, the service can stall. Ask your provider for the simultaneous-connection limit. The player cannot add connections the plan does not include.

Update the official app only

How to tell a home-network stall from a provider stream

Retest on a second network if the plan allows it
If your provider allows another connection, open the same channel on a phone using mobile data (Wi-Fi off). Do not exceed the connection limit to run the test.

Fixes by device
Use the device you actually own. Installing an Android package on tvOS or a Samsung TV will not make the picture smoother.
Fire Stick and Fire TV
Prefer 5 GHz or a Fire Stick Ethernet adapter when the stick sits far from the router. Force-stop unused apps under Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications, then reboot the stick once.

Do not treat 7 MOTION TV as the built-in smart TV app. If the TV’s Wi-Fi radio is weak or the store app keeps freezing, add a Fire Stick or Android TV stick instead of modifying the television.
